When a child is frustrated with piano, or a particular song, it lots of times leads back to note reading. The stronger their note reading gets, the more confident they will be at the piano and the less frustration they will feel! I have linked a couple of resources that I have found to reinforce their note reading that can be a bit more fun away from the piano.
